Ciaran (Studio Manager)
My career journey started through personal transformation. I’ve always been heavily involved in sports – Gaelic football, cricket, swimming – and I played both rugby and ice hockey semi-professionally. Six years ago, when I left Ireland for Australia, I put myself through a transformation where I lost around 35 to 40 kg in six months. My newfound confidence and energy fuelled my desire to help others achieve the same, so I enrolled in fitness college to get certified.
I have a Cert III & IV in Personal Training, specialising in older adults, special populations and children; and a Diploma in Marketing.
I love the way SpeedFit caters for everyone, no matter what limitations their bodies hold. It’s low impact, yet high intensity, which is great for those with injuries. Client interaction is my favourite part of the job; it’s so great getting to know everyone, discovering their goals and doing my absolute best to help them achieve them.
I love to spend my spare time having fun and adventures with my partner, Liv and my cocker spaniel, Stanley. We go camping on the beach, or recharge with a drive down south where we enjoy the finer things in life! I still enjoy playing rugby, cricket or ice hockey with my team, the Northern Chiefs.
My career started in community services, and while supporting clients, I realised there was a large amount of the community who were sedentary and didn’t have a hobby or passion they loved that could help keep them active. Having experienced so many benefits that living a healthy life can bring, I changed careers into the fitness space, qualifying as a personal trainer and more recently as a wellness coach. I have a passion for helping people and love being able to support people achieve their health and wellness goals to live the life they dream of.
I have a Certificate IV in Personal Training and am a certified Wellness Coach.
I was attracted to SpeedFit because I love resistance training, so combining this passion with EMS training appealed to me as it’s a completely different idea to anything else out there. I joined the SpeedFit team in 2018; the best part of the job is helping people improve their fitness and overall well-being.
While not working, I like doing anything outdoors or involved with nature. I walk along the coast or take my dog for runs on the beach. Travel is also a big passion of mine and wherever possible I love exploring new places and countries.
