I have always loved sports, and being fit and active. At school I played almost any sport I could, and even now as an adult I still enjoy and regularly play touch rugby and get in some time for surfing.
When I completed school, I knew I wanted to pursue something in the sports and fitness industry which led me to complete a 2-year Diploma in Coaching Sciences, as well as several certificates in areas such as nutrition, boot camp and exercise in pregnancy.
Having previously worked in a school and later in a conventional gym environment I really wanted to find something new to push me and my clients further. In 2019, after some research I found SpeedFit and was so intrigued by the benefits and uses for Electro Muscle Stimulation that I knew it was something I had to get into.
I love being able to interact with so many different people on a daily basis, and watch and guide them towards achieving their fitness and health goals. It is also really rewarding to see clients that come in with often severe injuries, start to improve and regain control over their lives and health.
I’ve always been sporty and active ever since I can remember. I tried all sorts of sports throughout my childhood and finally found my passion in athletics and basketball – which I practiced for years. In my adult years, I’ve been training on my own and am constantly finding new ways to challenge my body and improve my fitness.
I decided to leave office jobs behind and take a new direction when I came to Australia. I got qualified as a personal trainer, made it into a career and haven’t looked back ever since.
I’m a big believer that exercising in any form can be an answer to so many of our problems and help us to be more productive and happier in our everyday lives. I like to help people on their fitness journey, be there for them, motivate them and celebrate both the small and big victories.
My love for sports and fitness started when I was a little girl playing various sports like volleyball, soccer, basketball, tennis, skiing,… but I found my true passion in swimming and surf lifesaving, sports in which I have competed at National and International levels, representing my country, Italy, at European and World Championships several times. Later on, my multi-sports background led me to share my passion, my knowledge and my experience teaching and coaching swimming and athletics to children and adults and to also become an aqua instructor.
Once I retired from swimming and SLS competitions, I decided to challenge myself in different disciplines and dived into the martial arts practising Krav Maga, boxing and Muay Thai. I loved them so much that I also started working as a boxing coach in my gym.
Since I have been in Australia, I have continued my career as a swimming and athletics coach and, just recently, I have joined the fitness industry as a trainer and I am currently studying Cert IV in Fitness and Advanced Nutrition.
The first time I heard about SpeedFit, I was very fascinated, interested and curious about EMS training and I wanted to try it…I was looking for a career change and I found out that there was an opening in the company, it was perfect timing! I had my first session and I fell in love with SpeedFit! I wanted to be a part of the team and I joined the company in 2019.
What I love the most as a SpeedFit trainer is being able to help people during their fitness journey, motivating them every session and seeing their dedication and their joy when they get results and achieve their goals! I firmly believe in the quote “Healthy body, healthy mind” and that exercise and good nutrition together are the key for a healthier life. The rewards in being a part of this life-changing journeys have no equals and I am grateful I can contribute to it!
In my free time, I love training for triathlon (my new multi-sport mania!), mountain biking, hiking and cooking!
