Dominika (Studio Manager)
I started my SpeedFit journey back in 2017. It was my curiosity that got me involved – SpeedFit seemed impressive, something new and exciting. After my very first training session, I could easily see how EMS would impact the future of the fitness industry.
Initially, I was an instructor on the studio floor, but I soon progressed to management. I was given the massive task of taking SpeedFit to New South Wales which was such a rewarding challenge. Since then, I’ve happily settled back into Perth where I manage the Perth CBD studio.
I have a Certificate III & IV in Fitness and have now spent two years working with EMS training. The best thing about my role at SpeedFit is constantly learning new things and helping clients achieve their goals. It’s been amazing watching people get happier and healthier every week.
When I’m not working, I love indulging in any outdoor activity, spending time with friends or going to the gym. But the place I refresh myself the most is the beach!
I’d worked and lived in many countries before I decided I want to have a career where I helped people more directly than what I’d been doing. My friends have always told me I should be a personal trainer as I am always in the gym, playing sport and staying active.
I am a certified Australian Strength and Conditioning coach, have a Functional Movement Screening: Level II, and have a Certificate III & IV in Fitness.
When I first started doing classes at SpeedFit, I was impressed with my gains in stability and strength in such a short time – and realised that EMS training had huge potential. Plus, the turquoise and blue tees look good with my skin tone. :p
I joined the SpeedFit team in 2018. The best part of the job is watching the clients’ eyes light up the first time they feel their muscles activate – and then watching them willingly take control of their health because SpeedFit has finally given them the tools to make this possible.
While not working, I like to surf, skate, eat, take my shoes off, sit in the sunlight and listen to music.
I first got into the fitness industry whilst in high school where I started my first boxing class at my local gym and my passion for health and fitness grew on from there. I then started to get into Muay Thai and MMA training which then led me into becoming an MMA training class instructor for youth and adults. With a strong passion for learning more about this unique industry, I commenced studies into a Bachelors Degree in Exercise and Sport Science at Edith Cowan University.
After coming across Speedfit online I endeavoured to find out more about it and the science and technology behind it through research papers, videos and personal experiences which then lead me to apply for the job and becoming successful.
What’s great about my role as a SpeedFit trainer is being able to see more people and see there personal outcomes of the training, whilst having a personal connection on a social level.
Right now I am studying for my University units, and in my free time, I go camping and join social outings. Aside from training at the gym, I also do Muay Thai, Jeet Kune Do, and Kali.
